Design Facebook Layouts

1. Select a Color

First select a color for the title bar, background, left curtain or right curtain. You can pick nearly any color to personalize Facebook with, just remember that you’re going to want the color you choose to match your images.

2. Upload Images

The Create Your Own Layout feature allows you to upload the image, photo or graphic of your choice. You can pick personal photos of you and your friends or loved ones, or pick out some images of your favorite singer, band, actor or actress, movie or book (Twilight anyone?) Layout images must be low resolution, 72 pixels per inch, RGB color mode, and must be a .jpg, .gif, or .png file. Once uploaded, the image will become a repeat pattern that displays behind your Facebook profile.

When you create Facebook layouts with the PageRage CYOL tool, separate images can be used for the left curtain, right curtain, and/or background.

3. Finishing Touches

You can choose any color you want for your Facebook text, and then move on to profile transparency options and naming your layout.

4. Success!

Once you save and publish, you can see an overview of what the layout looks like, or go back to your Facebook Profile and refresh the page to see your new layout. You can also share your layout with your friends as well as the rest of the PageRage community in the public gallery. The PageRage community is a great place to find ideas, get help on how to create Facebook layouts, and interact and meet other users who design custom Facebook layouts.
