How Do I Select & Remove Facebook Layouts?

Using PageRage

Last week, we covered how new users can go about installing PageRage.  Now that you know how to install PageRage, we would like to show you how to go about selecting and removing Facebook layouts.  Selecting and removing layouts go hand in hand, so that is why we will be sharing both of these actions with you today.

To select a PageRage layout for your profile, follow these steps:

  1. Go to http://www.pagerage.com.
  2. Browse our layout library from any of the four layout sections (red arrows) on our website. 
  3. Find the layout you would like to add to your profile. 
  4. Click “Select” to add the layout to your profile immediately OR click “Preview” to choose how you want the layout to show: “All Pages” or “Profile Only.” All layouts show by default to “All Pages.”  To have your layout show only on your profile page, click “Profile Only” and then click “Select This Layout” to add the layout to your profile.                          
  5. Once you click “Select” or “Select This Layout,” you will be prompted, with a smiley face, to log in to Facebook to see the layout applied. 
  6. Click on our link (redirects you to Facebook) to log into your Facebook account.  
  7. Once you log into Facebook, you will see your selected layout applied to your profile page and your homepage.  If you chose for your layout to apply to show on your “Profile Only,” the layout will only be visible on your profile page.  

To remove a PageRage layout from your profile, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to http://www.facebook.com.
  2. From your homepage or your profile page, click “Remove Layout.” 
  3. You’re layout should now be removed from your Facebook profile.  To select a new PageRage layout, follow our steps above OR click “Change Layout” on your Facebook profile page or homepage.  You will be redirected to http://www.PageRage.com, where you can select a new layout.

    I had this Facebook Layout page added to my FB Profile and now it refuses to come off despite the fact of having followed your instructions. It has also caused ads to pop up all over my profile and other pages that I’ve visited within my FB account! I hate it and wish for it to be removed … I guess I need some of your Technical Assistance to have this done?!?!? (Antonio – arivasw@gmail.com)

      Thank you for reaching out to us. PageRage is an ad-supported product in order to offer it to our users for 100% free. By just removing your layout, it only removes the layout itself and not the PageRage program. If you would like to uninstall PageRage, please follow our directions on this page: http://bit.ly/ngbJLg

    I went through the steps to change layout, but when i go back to FB its not there, still the present one?? please help

      Whenever applying a layout, you will need to either refresh your Facebook page or switch from home to profile in order to see the new layout applied. If you need further assistance, please let us know. Thank you.

    I love this site! There are 2 things i would like to know. Why is that my daughters facebook layout is now my layout, then when i changed mine, she had the same one i chose. sound confusing? tell me about it. what shall we do to fix it? and i tried 5 times to create an account on pagerage, but will not accept my designated username? I assumed it was the same name as your facebook profile name. Please help…..Thank you for your time.      SO CONFUSED

      Sure! We can clear those things up for you. First of all, thank you for your positive feedback, we are happy you are enjoying PageRage :)

      The reason why your layout is changing is due to it being a browser app. Our app works off of the actual browser, so anytime you change a layout it will change it to a FB profile whenever you log in. This is of course, as you know, a slight issue when people share a computer.

      When creating a PageRage account, we do not require you to input your FB login info, we are not affiliated with FB so any username you come up with do as long as its already not taken. Make sure you are creating an account with us through our new user sign up page here: https://www.pagerage.com/CreateAccount.aspx

    i unistalled it and disabled it from my toolbar and its not working!!! its really starting to make me mad its slowing my computer down!

      Did you follow our uninstall instructions? In order to correctly uninstall our app, you will need to remove “Yontoo Layers” from your control panel, this is the actual software that powers our app. Here are the uninstall instructions: http://www.pagerage.com/uninstall-pagerage.aspx

    One question… I want to remove pagerage from my facebook account.. I tried pagerage out but didn’t like it…

      Hi Anna – Thank you for your feedback. You can easily remove our app by visiting our official uninstall page here: http://www.pagerage.com/uninstall-pagerage.aspx. Follow the directions on that page to correctly remove. Thank you.

    Hi- I love PageRage but I have an old layout – (white tigers) on my FB -
    I think it’s a year or so old- and I can’t get it off – any advice and
    when I installed a new layout over it it doesn’t show up on my timeline
    page just my home page- can you help me get the old one off and would
    that cause a problem if I wanted to put a new one on it. I’ve done
    cookies cleaning  three times- using Firefox. Have 5 pages on FB- any advice appreciated.

      Hi Raffi – Depending on which browser you are using, did you check within your add-ons to make sure that our software is enabled? The software is called Yontoo Layers and you will need this enabled in order for PageRage to work correctly. The issue may also be that you have a few other add-ons that are interfering with our browser app. Please let us know if you need help figuring out how to view and manage your browser add-ons, thanks!
