What is Yontoo Layers and why do I need to install it?
Yontoo Layers is a web browser plug-in that creates a virtual layer of graphics over your browser window. Once Yontoo Layers is installed, applications such as PageRage will enable users to add content directly over their Facebook page. This appears to have been added directly to the page, however the "layer" is contained within the web browser and has no effect on the underlying page's content. Learn more...

Which web browser does PageRage work with?
Yontoo Layers, which is the browser plug-in that makes PageRage work, currently is available for Firefox 3.0, 3.5 and Internet Explorer 7.0 and 8.0. Unfortunately, we do not have a version of Yontoo Layers that will work with Safari, Chrome, Opera, AOL, MSN, or IE 6. You will need to use either Firefox or the standard version of Internet Explorer 7 or 8.

I installed Yontoo Layers, but I can't see my layout.
After installing and selecting a layout, log into your Facebook account. Go to your home page, wait about 5-10 seconds, and return to your profile page. This will refresh the images and display your chosen layout correctly. PageRage layouts currently only show up on your profile page and not your Facebook home page.
If this is not the problem, make sure you have third party cookies accepted.
For Internet Explorer - go to Tools> Internet Options>. Click the "Privacy" tab. Click "Advanced" tab and select "Accept" under Third-party Cookies.
If this is not the problem, check your browser Add-ons to see if Yontoo Layers is showing up and is enabled.
For Firefox - go to Tools> Options>. Click the "Privacy" tab. Click "Firefox will" and select "Use custom settings for history". In the next window, select "Accept third party cookies. Click OK.
If this is not the problem, check your browser Add-ons to see if Yontoo Layers is showing up and is enabled.
Lastly, try to re-install the Yontoo Layers plug-in. We recently upgraded our installation process and it seems to have solved several problems.

I selected a layout, refreshed my page and my layout isn't there!
For IE users: If you press the refresh button or the F5 button while you are on the profile page, your layout will not appear. This will actually just show a blank Facebook profile page. Instead, you need to go back to your home page, wait about 5-10 seconds, and return to your profile page. This will refresh the images and display your chosen layout correctly.
For Firefox users: You should be able to use F5 or the refresh button on your browser. If this does not work for you, go back to your home page, wait about 5-10 seconds, and return to your profile page. This will refresh the images and display your chosen layout correctly.

How do I change my layout?
Go to your profile page and click the link under your profile picture that says "Select PageRage Layout". This will take you back to PageRage website. Browse through the layouts and press "Select" under the layout you want. Once it says "Success", go back to Facebook and navigate to your home page once, and then to your profile page. This helps to refresh the images so it displays correctly. For IE users, the refresh button and F5 do not work to get the image to appear!

I can't see the graphics in the margins
The average monitor resolution is 1024px x 768px. The Facebook profile page is 1000px wide. If you have a lower monitor setting, this may be why your are not seeing the full layout. We do not have the ability to change the size of the content from Facebook. Try a higher resolution on your monitor. It will enable you to see more of the layout on the sides of your profile page.
To change your resolution on a PC: Right click anywhere on your desktop and choose Properties at the bottom of the list. Then choose the Settings tab and there should be a Screen Resolution bar that you can slide to the right to increase your resolution.
To change your resolution on a Mac: Go to System Preferences and click Hardware/Displays. Choose a higher resolution setting and close window.
If adjusting your screen resolution does not help the problem, try to create your own background. This will help you create an image that fits best with the resolution you are currently running on your computer.

Can everyone see the changes I make to my profile page?
Yes and no. In order for anyone to view your profile with PageRage layouts, they will also need to install Yontoo Layers onto their own computer. Without Yontoo Layers installed, your profile will appear as a normal Facebook page to the viewer. Tell your friends about PageRage.

Why do my friends need to install Yontoo Layers?
The only way to see PageRage layouts is with the Yontoo Layers plug-in installed into your browser. This software applies a virtual layer to create the appearance of having made changes to the underlying website. Think of it as X-Ray specs on your computer. Only those who choose to install Yontoo Layers can see the PageRage effects. There is no HTML or CSS code to cut and paste and the software is added directly to either Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Will changes I make on Internet Explorer show up on Firefox and vise versa?
Yes, because all of the edits and changes made to the Yontoo Layer are stored in our servers. All of your changes and edits will show up on any computer with Yontoo Layers installed.
