Layout Issues

I want to request a layout design.
We receive hundreds of layout submissions every day, all of which are user-created. To visit our “Create Your Own Layout” tool, click the Create Your Own tab at the top of the menu bar. We let our users do the majority of the layout design because you know what you want! And really our designers can’t keep up with the numerous requests we get.

The CYOL tool was recently tweaked a little, to be more useful and easier to use for our users. With the CYOL tool, you can customize layouts with background colors, personal pictures, clip art and adjust the text color. Try out our CYOL tool now!

How do I change or remove my layout?
Changing Your Layout:
Go to http://www.pagerage.com/FacebookLayouts.aspx?Section=Default. Browse through the layouts and click on the "Select" button under the layout you want. Once it says "Success", click on the "Go to Facebook..." link to go back to Facebook and navigate to your home page. If your layout doesn't appear, try navigating to your profile page, clicking on your browser's refresh button, or pressing Ctrl-F5. Depending on your browser, one of these combinations will refresh the images so the layout displays correctly.
Removing Your Layout:
Just above the Categories section on the left side of the page there is a button that says "Remove Layout". Click on it and you should see a message indicating that the layout has been removed. Go back to Facebook and navigate to your home page. If your layout still appears, try navigating to your profile page, clicking on your browser's refresh button, or pressing Ctrl-F5. Your Facebook profile page will return to the regular white background.
How layout approvals work.
All layouts will be submitted to the public gallery, unless the layout contains: nudity, violence, drugs, racism, gang relations, or images of illegal activities.

Layouts are rated by the quality, time and effort, and popular topics that were put into the layouts design.

Please check your browser to see if Yontoo Layers™ is showing up and is enabled.

You can easily do this by clicking on the tool icon on the upper right-hand corner of your browser and navigating to Tools >> Extensions >> and make sure Yontoo Layers is listed.

After you have confirmed this, please make sure you have third party cookies accepted. You can do this by clicking on the tool icon again, navigating to Options >> Under the Hood >> Privacy, clicking on the "Content Settings..." button, and making sure that the "Allow local data to be set" radio button is selected and the "Ignore exceptions and block third-party cookies from being set" checkbox is unchecked.

After you close that window, go back to www.pagerage.com and select a new layout. Once the layout says "Success", you can then go to www.facebook.com and log into your Facebook account. You will need to force a refresh of your page by clearing your cache. You can clear your cache by pressing Ctrl-F5 or pressing the refresh button in your browser. Then the layout you selected should be there.

Layout isn’t showing as demonstrated on preview page.
If the layout you are trying to select appears to have a different “set up” then the rest of the layouts, it’s because the layout is one of our older layouts that was created when PageRage first came out. With these layouts you will notice the transparency feature isn’t working, once again this is due to the fact that it was from the first “round” of layouts that were created for PageRage and we were using a different CYOL tool at the time. Currently our developers are working on a fix so all layouts using the transparency feature will work. We thank you for your continued patience!
I share a computer or have multiple accounts.
If you are seeing PageRage on multiple accounts, you can either use a layout for each one, or erase layouts from unwanted accounts.

Can others see my layout?
Other people can see your layout. However, your friends must have the PageRage plug-in installed as well. Facebook does not include native support for people to customize their Facebook profiles. This means that you and your friends can only make (or in this case view) our special layouts if you have the PageRage software installed.

If they would like to see your layout or install one for themselves, please refer them to our website-- www.pagerage.com and have them download the application. If they don't want their own layout, they can simply install the software without selecting a layout for themselves, and they will be still have the ability to see your custom layout.

Installation Issues

Browsers we support?
We currently support Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome for PC and Firefox for Mac.

Unfortunately, our software is not currently compatible with Opera, AOL, MSN, Safari, or mobile phone browsers.
What is Yontoo layers?
Yontoo Layers™ is a web browser plug-in that creates a virtual layer of graphics over your browser window. Once Yontoo Layers is installed, applications such as PageRage will enable users to add content directly over their Facebook page. This appears to have been added directly to the page, however the "layer" is contained within the web browser and has no effect on the underlying page's content. Learn More.

I'm getting an error message.
Error 2, by chance? If so, this is a toolbar problem. The toolbar is not necessary to use PageRage. But if you are really concerned, try uninstalling from your Control Panel and then reinstalling. Most errors are fixed by just reinstalling.

If you continue to receive error messages after reinstalling, please contact us as soon as possible by clicking on our “Not Error 2?” button and filling out the contact form provided to the best of your ability.
Computer is running slow.
If you’re concerned your computer seems to be running slowly, be assured PageRage is not a virus or malware. PageRage is completely safe. It is however, a fairly heavy program. Your computer may not have the optimal amount of memory for it to run properly. We recommend your computer meets the following minimum requirements from Adobe Flash Player: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/.

Our app uses Flash, so Adobe’s recommendations are a good starting point. Although, we would increase the memory (RAM) to 1GB or even better speed. If it runs too slowly, you can always disable or uninstall the software.
PageRage for Mac.
We just released PageRage for the Firefox browser on Mac computers. You'll need to go to http://download.pagerage.com/YontooFFClient.xpi to install. If you don't already have Firefox, you can find it here.
Why is PageRage on my computer?
We can assure you that PageRage is a safe application. Both the app and our websites are routinely scanned (at our request) by McAfee Secure, Norton Antivirus, and CNET. We are committed to giving our users a safe, fun, hassle-free experience.

The only way PageRage can be on your computer, is if it was downloaded by someone who uses that computer. If you don’t remember downloading it, perhaps you share the computer with someone else? Or, have you recently downloaded any games or bundles? If the answer is no, we’d like to hear more so we can help figure out how it was downloaded and continue to perfect the user experience. Please contact us by clicking on the “Contact Us” button below and fill out the form provided to the best of your ability.

uninstall For a short video tutorial on how uninstall PageRage in Windows 7, click here: http://youtu.be/crG3WW7d_Xw
Trouble with uninstalling?
If the control panel will not uninstall our software, it was probably deleted or removed improperly and Windows is unable to perform the uninstall. The best way to remedy this is to re-install our software, allow the installer to fix the files, then perform another uninstall through the control panel.

If further assistance with uninstalling PageRage is needed, please contact us by clicking on the “Contact Us” button below and fill out the form provided to the best of your ability.

Miscellaneous Issues

Where is my cow/Farmville cash/chicken/mafia money/unlock code...?
Unfortunately, we are not associated with any website or program advertising these deals. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing, and we are doing everything we can to quickly solve this problem. We are aware that there is some false advertising happening and we have received many emails regarding similar issues. While we are working tirelessly on resolving them, the blame rests with the maker of these games/advertisements, not with our software.

Please describe where this was advertised or what you clicked on that brought you to PageRage. Could you please send us the URL or link that you clicked on (you might be able to find this in your browsing history)? Any information we receive will assist us in tracking down whoever is posting these claims, and further assist us in ensuring nobody else is tricked in this manner.

We appreciate your help because it allows us to pinpoint the bad advertisers and blacklist them.
PageRage Ads.
If a user has PageRage installed and enabled on their computer, they will see additional ads placed by the app while browsing Facebook. These additional ads are not the responsibility of Facebook®. PageRage is able to provide Facebook layouts at absolutely zero cost to the user because it is ad-supported. PageRage operates just like other ad-supported apps such as Pandora and Angry Birds. Apps like this are able to operate at zero cost to the user because they incorporate ads. Learn more.

What is PageRage? How do I use it?
PageRage is a plug-in that works with your web browser to place a layout on your Facebook page. It's kind of like a virtual "sticker." (Facebook does not allow their code to be overridden like MySpace did.)
To put a layout on your Facebook profile, you simply download and install our software, select a layout from our gallery, and it will be placed on your Facebook profile immediately. You can also create layouts if you create a PageRage account. This will allow you to create layouts, save them to your library, and share them in our public gallery for other users to use.
PageRage is virus-free.
We can assure you that PageRage is completely safe and in no way a virus or associated with spyware. We are approved by McAfee Secure, Norton Antivirus, CNET and the Better Business Bureau. We proactively and regularly work with all the top anti-virus companies to ensure our product is and remains completely safe for people to install and use.

It is technically impossible for our software to infect your computer with a virus. In any case, we want to do anything possible to ensure viruses are never associated with our product. If you believe you may have this issue, please send us a screen shot of any suspicious messages or activities visible on your computer.

You can take screen shots by doing the following:
  1. Press 'CTRL-Print Screen' (next to F12) on your computer (this will take a snapshot of your computer screen)
  2. Open Paint or MS Word
  3. Press 'Ctrl-V' to paste the screen shot
  4. Save it
  5. Attach it in an email and send it back to us
Layout still isn’t showing.
PageRage is used by over 8 million people daily, so we can assure you that even though it may not be working for you at the moment, it does work. Sometimes, however, certain circumstances can necessitate an extra step or two and you may have run into one of those circumstances.

First, are you using the right browser? We support the following on Windows: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and on Mac, we support Firefox. Unfortunately, our software is not compatible with Opera, AOL, MSN, Safari, or mobile phone browsers.

Second, check to make sure it installed properly.
  1. In Firefox, go to Tools >> Add-Ons >> Extensions.
  2. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools >> Manage Add-Ons >> Toolbars and Extensions.
  3. In Chrome, go to your wrench (upper right) >> Tools >> Extensions.
Do you see Yontoo Layers™ ? If yes, good! If not, reinstall.

Third, go to PageRage.com and make sure you've selected a layout.

Lastly, go to your Facebook page and click on "Home," "Profile," "Home," "Profile." If your layout still doesn't appear, hit the refresh button on your browser or press Ctrl+F5. Your layout should come up. If not, you might have a cookie problem... In that case, send us an email for lengthier instructions.

PageRage Premium Issues

What is PageRage Premium?

PageRage Premium is the ad-free version of the PageRage Facebook layouts browser plug-in. New and veteran PageRage users have the option of paying $1.99 for the premium version that doesn’t show ads on their Facebook profiles. As a premium user, you will never see ads. To purchase or upgrade to PageRage Premium go here.

Why should I pay for PageRage Premium?

The greatest benefit to purchasing or upgrading to PageRage Premium is that the plug-in is ad-free. Some of our users do not care for ads, so, PageRage Premium is the perfect solution.

I purchased PageRage Premium and ads are still showing!

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please make sure you have done the following:

  • You must be logged into your Premium Account on PageRage, and your Facebook that is linked to it.
  • Select a NEW layout and navigate to Facebook, your new layout should apply.
  • Still seeing those ads? >> Are you sure you entered the correct Facebook ID?
Your Facebook User ID will appear in the URL of your profile page in one of two ways as shown below:
I purchased PageRage Premium, but ads are still showing on another computer.

If you are using a different computer other than your own and have already purchased PageRage Premium, make sure that you are logged into your PageRage user account. You must always log into your PageRage account first to select or create a layout in order for PageRage Premium to be activated. Once you log into your PageRage account, re-select a layout and log into your Facebook account. The ads should now have disappeared.

PayPal issues?

If you run into any payment issues through PayPal, please make sure that you have entered all payment information correctly. After you have confirmed that all your information is correct and it is still not going through, contact us using the form below. We please ask that you be specific in explaining your issue to ensure speedy troubleshooting.

I didn’t receive a confirmation email after I purchased PageRage Premium.

Prior to hitting the submit button, we ask that our users skim all their information, including email addresses, making sure that the information reads correctly. Also, if you do not have our email added to your contact list, our mail may have been thrown into the spam folder. Please add us as a contact to ensure that doesn’t happen again.

Why do I need to give you my Facebook user ID?

Providing your Facebook ID allows us to make sure we apply your premium settings to all of your browsers (we don’t want you to have to pay for each browser!). It does not give us access to your Facebook account in any way. PageRage is a completely free and safe browser app, approved by Norton, McAfee, CNET and the Better Business Bureau.

I don’t see PageRage on my credit card statement, why?

PageRage uses Jeetyet Media to help with payment processing. If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us.

I Love You, PageRage!
